Just 30 years old, Marisa grew up in apartheid South Africa and is already a seasoned global activist and a crusader for peace and justice. She told her amazing story of working and living with the indigenous Sarayacu in Ecuador and her activism with the Zapatistas in Chiapas, Mexico in "Stories From the Global Justice Frontiers." At the evening's end, Marisa and Oregon singer/songwriter Katie Cavanaugh shared their original songs along the same themes.
