Yankee's Sweet Harmony Pedigree

Yankee's Sweet Harmony "Gingersnap" is a shiny new penny in every sense of the word. She is our last baby, which may be why she has such a special place in our hearts. Bias aside, she truly is a treasure, so bright and personable, and a real head turner. People who meet her can't help but smile.
Her dam, Midnight Sass, is an own daughter of Mack K's Yankee, one of the most cherished of all fox trotter foundation bloodlines. Yankee is famous for passing along his proud carriage, amenable disposition and above all, his powerhouse gait. (Read more about Yankee in Yankee's Sunrise Sonata's page.)
Gingersnap's sire is a colt we raised, Black Cloud Squadron "Pappy." Pappy's sire is a double-bred son of world grand champion Black Cloud C. Pappy's dam is a granddaughter of my wonderful old Dallas J, perhaps the most sensible horse I have ever met. Pappy is a stocky, compactly built stallion with a sculpted head and a calm demeanor — the perfect complement to the long reaching, more lively Yankee line.
This spirited little filly has mellowed somewhat in her almost two years on this Earth; she started out life as a 100-pound spitfire. Now that she has some ground work under her belt, she loves demonstrating her grown-up horse knowledge. She's leaving us at an age where she soaks up new training like a sponge. Looking into the future I can envision her exquisitely performing show ring maneuvers with a proud tail and arched neck, or adroitly crossing water on a mountain trail. Gingersnap responds to a light touch, and will flourish under the calm, thoughtful guidance of a seasoned trainer.
Gingersnap loads, clips, trims. Our farrier adores her. Currently 14.0-H, we expect her to finish out at 15.0-H. She has her dam's big Yankee gaits and a very feminine profile. The photos on this page are from her yearling summer 2007. I am waiting for some nice weather (and for her to shed out!) to get some good current photos of her. Email me and I will send them to you. Priced to sell at $1000.
