Largest city in Iceland, at about 150,000, it is home to half the country's population.

The Pearl: a huge glass dome atop hot water storage tanks for the city. Built in 1988, it is an attraction for tourists and locals for its restaurants, viewing decks, and the Saga Museum with very cool wax figures in vignettes of Iceland's history.
